We had to go to Beaverton for an appointment and stopped here for a bite afterward. For a starter, we had the 3 street tacos - 2 pork belly and one beef. I didn't try the beef but the pork belly tacos were beyond amazing. They were indescribably delicious. I then had a cheddar burger which was equally as tasty and the fries were perfectly crisp. Both of our drinks were fantastic. I do have to say, I wish this, salt trend on margaritas would pass. This is the 4th place I've visited that put salt up the side of the glass. It's not practical since there's so much salt. You wouldn't want to lick the side of the glass, it would be a heat attack waiting to happen. It's also very messy and I kept wiping salt off the table. I wish people would just go back to a simple seasoned rim. Lastly, our server Mirabel was fabulous. She had a great, friendly demeanor, and exceptional listening skills. She was attentive and professional - a credit to the establishment.
Great food and fast service. It was not as crowded as it normally.is.even though I visited on a Friday night. The calamari was very tasty. This is the first time I saw calamari served in the texture and shape of fish fingers. This is pretty creative and satisfying as you bite through it. One key ingredient that was missing was the dipping sauce for the calamari. I think that would have elevated the experience. Sockeye salmon was nicely cooked and was not dry (which is hard to achieve with this lean fish) I also noticed the amazing smokiness of the fish that was not overpowering and truly made a difference in its taste. The potatoes could be done a little less as they were a bit overcooked. I also had the chance to sample the ribeye steak and that was cooked to perfection maintaining its juiciness and tenderness. Potatoes of the steak dish were also overcooked and I had to leave a few on my plate This is not a cheap diner and we paid $50 per head without any alcohol! Given the above average cost, expecting potatoes to be cooked properly is probably not too much to ask. The service staff was great and helpful and did not forget to smile, which always makes you feel welcomed.
After a friend's recommendation, I had the grilled trout for lunch and it was wonderful! Rachel's service was top notch and my glass was never empty. The 2 oysters were also excellent. I can't wait to try the pistachio crusted halibut! See you soon! Edit: Came back for the Pistachio Crusted Halibut! Another excellent meal albeit a bit on the $teep side for the portion size.
WildFin American Grill – A Great Dining Experience WildFin American Grill in Beaverton offers a welcoming and relaxed dining atmosphere, living up to its reputation as a casual neighborhood restaurant that prides itself on serving the best products the region has to offer. With a focus on Northwest meats, seafood, and produce, as well as local handcrafted beers and wines, they aim to deliver a high-quality dining experience—and for the most part, they succeed. We visited on a Monday evening, just before the dinner rush, and were seated immediately since the restaurant wasn’t busy yet. The staff was friendly and attentive, which set a great tone for the meal. Food & Drinks I ordered the WildFin Dinner House Burger ($25.95), which came with bacon onion jam, Cambozola cheese, arugula, tomato, and a brioche bun, served with Parmesan truffle fries on the side. I also paired it with the WildFin Hefeweizen ($7.95), though they were out of my first choice of beer. The burger was excellent—one of the best I’ve had in recent memory. The flavors were well-balanced, with the bacon onion jam adding a nice sweetness that complemented the creamy, slightly funky Cambozola cheese. The truffle fries were tasty, though they didn’t stand out as much as the burger. The presentation was impressive, with the food served on a wooden plate tray, which added to the experience. My cousins ordered the Petite Tender ($34.95), which featured a chimichurri herb salsa and garlic herb butter, alongside the Alaskan Sockeye with lemon vermouth butter and avocado verde. They enjoyed their meals, though they felt the Fresh Shucked Oysters ($4.25 each) weren’t worth the price, mentioning that they were on the smaller side—about the size of a silver dollar. Ambiance & Atmosphere The restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere, with good background music that my cousins pointed out. One unexpected but enjoyable surprise was a guitarist who came in to perform for a birthday celebration at another table. He played multiple songs, including Happy Birthday, which added a unique touch to the evening. It wasn’t clear whether this was arranged by the restaurant or an outside vendor, but it certainly enhanced the experience. Final Thoughts Overall, WildFin American Grill delivers on its promise of handcrafted food and drinks that highlight the best of the Northwest. The service was great, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and the food—especially the burger—was fantastic. The only real downside was the pricing of the oysters, which didn’t quite match their size. Would I return? Absolutely. I’d love to explore more of their menu, and if their other dishes are as good as the WildFin Dinner House Burger, then it’s definitely worth coming back for. ⭐ Rating: 4.5/5 – Highly recommended for a quality meal with a great atmosphere!
Came here for a business meal. If you are looking for seafood this is about the only best choice in Beaverton area. Each time we are in town we will come at least once. This time we ate here twice. I had the Miso Black Cod which was amazing! The second time I had the Fish and Chips. That was good not great, but it also came with a cup of seafood chowder. We also had their calamari which the server said it was great so we tried it. It was more like calamari steak cut up like fried mozarella sticks than the actual squid which I prefer. Also it was a bit under fried so not to our liking. We did not recommend it on our second time there. However, do try their mini donuts for dessert. That was also a great choice. The servers work hard and very attentive. Great casual place for great food overall.
A solid place to go for a good meal. Service was fast and friendly, even on a busy Saturday night. The seafood chowder is very good, highly recommend. The oyster shooters were served on the half shell and tasted fresh. I had the shrimp and grits which comes with andouille sausage and a chipotle sauce. Really large shrimp, very spicy, and a decent sized portion. They didn’t scrimp here. My wife had the miso cod with a risotto. Not bad but nothing to get excited about. Flavors were muted. They also have a full bar and a pretty good selection of beers (not all IPAs)
It’s rare I walk into a restaurant I’ve never eaten at, get sat down and then have the atmosphere captivate me so much that I don’t even care how the food ends up tasting (it was EXCEPTIONAL, by the way). If there’s a downside to this restaurant, it would be having to make a decision what to order: “Do I want delicious? Or should I go for mind blowing today?” Only been there once, but I have the feeling there is no such thing as a bad meal at WildFin. FYI, the Garlic Shrimp appetizer is a great way to kick off a fantastic meal. Lunch was amazing today. I will be back.
We had a wonderful dinner. Chris was our server, and a favorite. We had the Grilled Salmon, and the Red Snapper, plus Harvest Salads. Had to skip dessert! However, the selections appeared delectable. We truly enjoyed our meals. We would highly recommend this restaurant! Iced Tea kept refilled. Great service!
